E-Z-GO MPT 800 features PDS upgrade

AUGUSTA, GA — E-Z-GO, a Textron Co., announces that its MPT 800 electric turf-maintenance vehicle is now available with the company's precision drive system (PDS), allowing golf courses and resort facilities to tailor the vehicle's performance characteristics to the unique topography and terrain of their location.

The 300-amp PDS, long used in E-Z-GO's TXT fleet-golf car, has separate programmable settings for mild inclines, steep hills or flat terrain. Each setting tailors the vehicle's acceleration, speed and regenerative braking characteristics to meet the unique demands of a facility's topography.

The system allows operators to help ensure that a vehicle is used safely, and with maximum energy efficiency, regardless of the facility's environment.

In addition to the PDS model, the MPT 800 is also available with a 13-hp Kawasaki gas-powered engine with hemispheric combustion chamber, providing increased horsepower and climbing ability with reduced emission and greatly increased fuel mileage. Both models feature an 800-lb. total capacity, seating for two and a 5.9-cu.-ft. cargo bed.
