Bayer Advanced, ANLA announce 2009 management scholarship
12 Jan, 2009 LM Direct!Washington, D.C.— The American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) announces a new partnership with Bayer Advanced to sponsor 40 scholarships for the 2009 ANLA Management Clinic, Feb. 6-9 in Louisville, KY.

The 2009 Management Clinic effort launches the Bayer Advanced Scholars program, a fund created to offset education/ training costs for more than 75 independent garden centers this year – including scholarships to the 2009 Management Clinic, the 2009 Retail Roadshow and the 2009 Legislative Conference.
Scholarship recipients will be chosen will be selected based on geographic diversity, business size diversity and a specific outlook/plan for making the most of business in Spring 2009. Businesses must be primarily a retail garden center to qualify. Recipients do not need to be Bayer customers or current ANLA members in order to be eligible for the scholarship. A maximum of two scholars from one company may be selected.
Applications will be accepted via email to access@anla.org or fax, 800/ 284.0233, until 12:01am EST, Tuesday, Jan. 20. Recipients will be notified of their selection via email on January 22. A scholarship recipient who has already registered and paid for the Clinic will have the option of bringing an additional individual or having their registration fee refunded.
