Cornell publishes 2006 Pest Management Guidelines for Commercial Turfgrass

ITHACA, NY — Cornell Cooperative Extension recently released a new and expanded version of its Pest Management Guidelines for Commercial Turfgrass. The publication now has a water-resistant laminated cover and a spiral binding. The publication is a practical guide for professional landscapers, golf course managers and facility grounds managers.

It includes separate sections on disease management, insect management and weed management. The guide also includes explanation on diagnosis, maximmizing chemical effectiveness, pest biology and cultural control methods. The authors are Frank Rossi and Leslie Weston, Department of Horticulture; Eric Nelson, Department of Plant Pathology; Daniel Peck, Department of Entomology; and Jennifer Grant, New York State IPM Program.

The 94-page booklet costs $10.95 and can be purchased online or at Cornell Cooperative Extension county offices.
