Two separate units will serve customers better

PEORIA, IL - Aug. 31, 2001 - L.R. Nelson Corporation is reorganizing into two separate strategic units in response to changing customer needs.

One unit will focus entirely on retail lawn and garden, while the other will focus on the professional turf irrigation market.

"Turf is really a different industry than lawn and garden, but in the past we've treated it similarly," says Rick Keup, president and COO. "We've been successful doing that, but believe we can make our turf business more profitable and more efficient if we separate it from lawn and garden."
