Maffei Landscape Contractors wins 'Build a Better Mousetrap' award
8 Jun, 2007MASHPEE, MA — Bob Maffei, owner of Maffei Landscape Contractors in Mashpee, MA, was selected by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce to receive a Build a Better Mousetrap Award from Cape Cod SCORE at its fourteenth annual awards breakfast held June 5 in Yarmouth.
Maffei Landscape Contractors began with owner Bob Maffei hounding his high school janitors to make copies of his spring clean-up flyers. When Willowbend Development Corporation admired a job he had completed near the upscale golf course community, they contacted Maffei Landscape Contractors about working on several large-scale landscape projects.
As the company grew, Bob began to understand the importance of efficiency and training. Presently he breaks down the operations of the company into three divisions: lawn maintenance, landscape maintenance and construction. The organization of individual crews within each division has led to the creation of a very stable foundation for continued growth.
By breaking down all the services they provide in this manner, they are able to provide a flow of trained people, and price and deliver a service with consistency. He plans to continue to exceed customer expectations while setting the industry example for quality service and workmanship.
