DuPont Acelepryn wins Agrow award

20 Apr, 2010 LM Direct!

WILMINGTON, DE – DuPont Acelepryn insecticide has been honored with the Agrow Award for the Best Innovation in Non-Crop in the turf and ornamental markets. The award was one of three prestigious Agrow awards DuPont received in recognition of innovation and excellence in its agricultural product and technology development efforts.

The award recognized the introduction of DuPont Acelepryn insecticide, its product efficacy and reduced environmental impact. Classified as reduced-risk by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for application to turfgrass, Acelepryn is helping Green Industry professionals protect turf from all 10 key turf-damaging white grub species, as well as surface-feeding insects such as billbugs, cutworms and other caterpillars.

This was the first year the Agrow awards included Non-Crop as a category. They were developed to recognize excellence in the crop protection and production industry. This is the second time the awards have been held since they were established in 2007. Entries were judged using a wide range of criteria and measured against documents and information submitted to an independent judging panel consisting of a group of senior experts from around the world. The Agrow awards are the mark of global distinction and the highest level of professional acknowledgment within the crop and non-crop protection and production industry.
