Strain joins Barenbrug USA

TANGENT, OR — Barenbrug USA has hired Nicholas Strain as the turf territory manager for the upper Midwest. Strain will be responsible for sales and distributor management in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin and Illinois.
Strain was most recently with Allied Seed as Midwest territory manager. While at Allied, his main tasks were to generate turf sales with existing customers as well as grow new business. In addition, Strain was integral in field-training district sales managers. Strain also consulted with seed company owners to identify how to grow their business.
He has also worked for John Deere Golf and at Blackhawk Country Club. Strain has a bachelor's of science degree in agricultural business from the University of Wisconsin.
Strain lives in McFarland, WI, with his wife, Lara, daughter Ellie, 3, and son Breck, 3 months. He enjoys spending free time with his family and golfing.
