Project EverGreen launches GreenCare for Troops outreach program

30 May, 2006

NEW PRAGUE, MN — Project EverGreen recently launched a nationwide outreach program called "GreenCare for Troops: Serving You While You Serve Us."

The flexible program can be adapted by associations, franchisees and independent operations to help them design a giving program that allows them to offer families of service men and women landscape maintenance assistance.

Current contributors to Project EverGreen will receive a "Mission Kit" that includes marketing and promotional materials as well as a business blueprint for efficiently launching the program in local markets. In May, Project EverGreen launched a consumer publicity program to support the new initiative.

Project EverGreen announced former Marine Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermey, the "Gunny," will serve as a celebrity spokesperson

"Gunny has become a familiar face through his many film and TV roles,” said Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen. “Equally important, as a veteran Leatherneck, he is in total agreement with the mission of GreenCare for Troops. We look forward to working with him to ensure news of the program reaches those who can benefit from it most."
