The Rain Bird DB Series Wire Connector is now available. Its smaller, more durable, single-piece construction allows installers to make more reliable wire connections, and in less time than ever before.
The Rain Bird DB Series Wire Connector is particularly suited for the installation of below ground decoder control systems. However, because making reliable wire connections is a critical for the proper functioning of any irrigation control system, the DB Series is also useful when working with standard controllers, valve boxes and soil moisture sensors.
The unique one-piece design of Rain Bird's DB Series Wire Connector gives crews time back that they formerly spent assembling wire connector parts. The DB Series also includes a simple snap-tight Strain Relief mechanism that keeps wires from pulling apart, while waterproof silicone grease protects wires against corrosion. An integrated wire nut automatically seals wires securely in one simple step, and a handy indicator ensures that wires are stripped to the proper length, virtually eliminating the possibility of over-stripped, exposed wires that can cause trouble later.
The DB Series makes quick work of wire connections and its UL 486D certification for direct-bury, with a rating up to 600 volts, ensures dependable performance even on low voltage applications like decoder control systems. The DB Series provides a robust connection for a wide range of wire gauge combinations ranging from 22 AWG to 6 AWG, solid and stranded wire, in one connector. Consisting of durable UV-resistant material, the DB Series Wire Connector resists degradation resulting form prolonged exposure to the sun's rays.
"At Rain Bird, we're dedicated to producing quality products that make it easier and more cost effective to intelligently manage water resources," said Lloyd von Scheliha, Product Manager for Rain Bird's Golf Division. "The DB Series Wire Connector does just that by offering contractors and irrigation installers the highest levels of reliability, simplicity and connection speed available."
"The Rain Bird DB Series Wire Connector is easier to use than other connectors I have used in the past," said Adrian Bertens of Hydro-Engineering in Danville, CA. "The one piece construction allows for easy installation, saving me time on the job."
