The Silver Date Palm (Phoenix sylvestris) looks similar to the regular Date Palm and Canary Island Date Palm, but has improved disease and insect resistance. It has blue-green foliage with orange/yellow spines in a canopy that is 9-12 ft. long. The slow-growing specimen tree will grow to 40 ft. high, on average. It is hardy in zones 8B through 11.
