CNA, PLANET to offer risk control materials
1 Jun, 2010 LM Direct!HERNDON, VA — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with CNA, PLANET’s endorsed insurance carrier since 1983, to create online tips and tools, including industry guides, exposure guides, risk control (safety) bulletins, webinars, training CDs/DVDs, and safety tip sheets to help keep Green Industry businesses and their employees safe. By analyzing the data gathered from customers in CNA’s insurance program, five types of losses have been identified as the having the highest percentage of claims for landscape contractors:
- Injuries to new employees
- Rear-end accidents
- Soft tissue injuries — manual materials handling/lifting injuries
- Tractor-trailer accidents
- Falls from elevation
