OLCA to host Aug. 12 seminar
16 Jul, 2010 LM Direct!COLUMBUS, OH — On Thursday, Aug. 12, the 16th annual Ohio Lawn Care Outdoor Summer Seminar will be presented by the Ohio State University and the Ohio Lawn Care Association (OLCA). It will take place at the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation's Research & Education Facility in Columbus. Re-certification credit will be available for both Ohio and West Virginia pesticide licenses.
Everyone involved in lawn care and landscape maintenance is invited to attend this informative event. Registration will be limited to the first 200 participants. The seminar will feature presentations at turfgrass research plots on various topics including:
- Carbon Footprint - Benefits of Turfgrass, Trees and Shrubs on the Environment and to be more responsible stewards of Pesticide use, fertilizer and other carbon input. (General Session) (WV Category 4A, 2 credits)
- Organic and/or Synthetic Fertilizers

- Equipment Showcase Participants will have the opportunity to test drive lawn maintenance equipment from many of the leading industry manufacturers.
