AmericanHort is teaming up with K-Coe Isom, agriculture accounting and business advisory firm, to co-host a free, one-hour webinar, “Comprehending the New Tax Law,” on Jan. 31 at 3 p.m.

“We have received multiple calls about the new tax law, and we knew it was time to pull in top industry experts to provide our members advice on the topic,” said Ken Fisher, president and CEO of AmericanHort. “This is one of many initiatives AmericanHort will lead in 2018 to help the industry perform better, grow faster, and prepare for the future.”

With a combined 45 years of green industry-related accounting and tax policy experience, Ryan Stroschein and Doug Claussen of K-Coe Isom will provide expert advice to help attendees profit from the new changes.

Attendees will learn:

  • whether or not to change their operating model;
  • how and what to write off in the next five years;
  • changes to prepare for in the cash accounting model; and
  • how estate tax exemptions should be managed.

Attendees will also hear from AmericanHort’s Senior Vice President Craig Regelbrugge, and its Director of Governmental Affairs, Tal Coley.

The webinar is free, but pre-registration is required by Jan. 30. Additionally, AmericanHort Premium members who join the webinar will receive a free, one-on-one consultation with K-Coe Isom at a later date.
