Aquatrols hires director of research and development

Aquatrols Corp. of America welcomed Jutta Pils, Ph.D., as its new director of research and development.

“Jutta’s impressive resume speaks for itself,” said Tracy Jarman, Aquatrols president and CEO. “Her background in crop protection is especially compelling as our company continues to explore new opportunities to change the way the world grows in the agricultural, turf and ornamental markets and beyond. I believe Jutta is the perfect candidate to help us on our mission.”

Pils spent the past nine years working in crop protection with DuPont, leading teams in the U.S. and abroad while overseeing the launch of several new products and technologies.

“I am very excited to be joining a company that not only has proven its commitment to solid research and development over many decades but is also driven by a vision of transforming how we look at water resources and its management,” she said. “This vision of sustainability is highly aligned with my personal beliefs that it is our obligation to find equilibrium between population and economic growth and the consumption of natural resources. I am eager to contribute to the discovery of new water-saving technologies and introducing new innovative products that conserve our most precious resource.”

Pils earned her doctorate from Iowa State University in 2005, with a focus on soil chemistry and water resources.
