Bartlett Tree Experts expands in Oregon, Colorado
Bartlett Tree Experts has acquired Portland-based tree care company Overlook Tree Preservation.
This marks Bartlett’s second acquisition in the state in as many months, following the acquisition of Buena Vista Arbor Care in Corvallis, Ore., in December.
Bartlett has also expanded its presence in Colorado with the acquisition of Boulder-based tree care company 303 Tree. With this acquisition, Bartlett has opened a new office in Boulder, its second in the state.
Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Overlook Tree acquisition
Overlook Tree Preservation has been providing high-quality tree care to clients throughout Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties since 2003. The company’s owner, Kevin MacKenzie, has returned to Bartlett Tree Experts, where he worked earlier in his career, as an arborist representative in the Clackamas office. Overlook staff members have also joined Bartlett, effective Jan.10.
“My personal experience working with Bartlett has been that they generously support our industry, are very safety-conscious, and perhaps most importantly, share our philosophy that integrity is fundamental in every transaction and at all levels of their business,” MacKenzie said.
Jim Ingram, president and COO of Bartlett Tree Experts, said the acquisition of Overlook Tree Preservation is important to Bartlett’s growth, noting “we share the same values and culture of putting safety first in caring for our clients’ trees.”
303 Tree acquisition
For more than a decade, 303 Tree has provided tree care services to clients in and around Boulder County. 303 Tree owner Ehren Weiss will join Bartlett as an arborist representative in its new Boulder office. The acquisition was completed on Jan. 12.
“I’ve been fortunate to get to know many great people at Bartlett Tree Experts through industry associations and events over the years, and I have always admired their leadership in scientific tree care, professionalism, and genuine passion for arboriculture,” Weiss said.
Ingram said the addition of 303 Tree is a good match with Bartlett’s values and culture.
