The Brickman Group, Rockville, Md., acquired Dallas-based Metheny Commercial Lawn Maintenance on Dec. 31. Terms were not disclosed for the transaction.

Metheny is the first company Brickman purchased since being acquired by investment firm KKR in November.

Former owners Andy Metheny and Lewis Metheny will remain with the company as Brickman vice presidents in the North Texas market.

“Joining forces with Metheny enhances Brickman’s extremely strong position in the Dallas/Fort Worth marketplace and adds the strengths of Metheny to our own,” Brickman officials said in a statement to Landscape Management. “Metheny has a strong value system, a talented team and a strong brand name in its market.”
