BrightView acquires Florida company

BrightView acquired Girard Environmental Services (GES), a commercial BrightViewlandscape maintenance company based in Sanford, Fla. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

GES CEO Rick Girard said the two companies have much in common.

“BrightView shares our passion for the craft of landscaping and our commitment to achieving success for our clients and to the safety, well-being and career advancement of team members,” he said.

GES specializes in commercial landscape maintenance, construction and facility services.  The company operates nine branches, employs nearly 450 people and serves more than 800 client sites across Florida. It ranks No. 40 on the 2017 LM150 list of largest landscape companies with $39 million in 2016 revenue.

“This is a great addition to BrightView and we are pleased to welcome Girard into our family,” said BrightView CEO Andrew Masterman. “Girard is one of the nation’s largest and most respected privately held landscape maintenance companies with a long tradition of innovation and client service.”

BrightView, which has more than 22,000 team members, ranks No. 1 on the 2017 LM150 list with $2.2 billion in 2016 revenue.
