Buyers Products unveils new combination dump spreader

Buyers Products revealed a new addition to its line of MDS series combination dump spreaders: the SaltDogg Medium Duty MDS.

The spreader is designed for commercial and municipal applications on Class 4-7 trucks such as the Ford F-Series, Freightliner M2 Series, International CV Series, Chevrolet Silverado Chassis Cabs and RAM Chassis Cabs.

The SaltDogg Medium-Duty MDS offers a fully electric drive option, meaning it can be installed on a truck without a separate central hydraulic system, though a hydraulic drive option is also available. With optional removable prewet tanks, the dump spreader is built for all-season use.

“It’s a fantastic addition to our SaltDogg line-up,” said Scott Moorman, director of engineering at Buyers. “The fully electric option is truly one of a kind. Now we can offer our customers a year-round solution that provides an extremely cost-effective way to turn medium-duty trucks into year-round Swiss Army Knives.”

The dump spreader is built from 10-gauge, 304 stainless steel with roll-formed radius sides to maximize capacity. A cross-member-free design makes it easy to clean, and a low center of gravity reduces the strain put on the truck, according to Buyers Products.

The SaltDogg Medium-Duty MDS will be available for the 2019/2020 winter season.
