Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Chenmark, based in Portland, Maine, also acquired Seabreeze Property Services in late 2015.

Piscataqua, founded by Booth Hemingway in 1979, does about $9 million in annual revenue, according to an LM report.

Chenmark is operated by Palmer, James and Trish Higgins. Palmer and James Higgins are brothers; Trish Higgins is married to James. All three left traditional jobs in finance to buy and build a small business; they were profiled in an article in the New York Times and a follow-up story outlining some of their progress and challenges.
