Chenmark Capital Management, a firm that acquires small and midsize businesses, purchased Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service, based in Eliot, Maine, according to Fosters.com. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Chenmark, based in Portland, Maine, also acquired Seabreeze Property Services in late 2015.

Piscataqua, founded by Booth Hemingway in 1979, does about $9 million in annual revenue, according to an LM report.

Chenmark is operated by Palmer, James and Trish Higgins. Palmer and James Higgins are brothers; Trish Higgins is married to James. All three left traditional jobs in finance to buy and build a small business; they were profiled in an article in the New York Times and a follow-up story outlining some of their progress and challenges.
