Dyna-Green, a lawn care company based in Willoughby, Ohio, acquired the Turf Magic Co., a lawn care company based in Chardon, Ohio. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The combined company projects 2017 annual revenue of $1.5 million. It will operate out of Willoughby, Ohio, and provide organic-based lawn care services and tree and shrub protection programs to nearly 4,000 residential and commercial customers in 13 counties in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania, including Erie and Pittsburgh.

“We are both successful, family-owned and -operated businesses,” said Dyna-Green owner and President Chip Soltesz. “Taking care of our customers will remain our only priority.”

Turf Magic was owned by Larry Morgan, who decided to sell the company and enter retirement. Morgan started the company in 1991 with his wife, Lisa, who was the company’s office manager.

“My friend Larry Morgan at Turf Magic decided to retire and I was his first choice in who to sell to,” said Soltesz. “He wanted to make sure that not only would his loyal customer base be taken care of but that his employees would continue to be treated like family.”

Dyna-Green, which is about three decades old, expanded into Pennsylvania earlier this year.
