Spokane Trophy Turf & Landscaping launched its full-service business, specializing in landscaping and lawn care services, last month in Spokane, Wash. It will serve commercial and residential customers in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Mead, Liberty Lake and Airway Heights, Wash. The company’s roster of services includes mowing, edging, power raking, aerations, lawn fertilization, sod installation and more. Its founder, Brandon Arnold, holds a bachelor’s degree in turfgrass management from Washington State University and has nearly a decade of experience in turf management at golf courses across the country.

Bugs Lawn Care, located in Edmonton, Canada, is using green dye to replicate the look of a healthy lawn without water, CBC News reports. The company typically spends the summer mowing, but grass wasn’t growing after a lack of rain. Inspired by practices in drought-ridden California, the company began applying non-toxic, biodegradable and pet-friendly dye to color lawns green. The process takes about 30 minutes and lasts several months. The company told CBC News it has a waiting list of people wanting a dyed lawn.

Smithers Quality Assessments recognized Neave Group Outdoor Solutions, headquartered in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., with the SN-9001:2012 certification. The certification is a version of the quality management standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization  that establishes an effective quality management program for snow and ice management companies. Neave Group qualified for this global standard through practices including quality of service, on-time delivery, a commitment to continuous improvement and rapid resolution of any issues.

Grand County Landscaping opened a new office in the heart of Granby, Colo. The move aligns with its effort to better serve the community in the busy summer season, the company said. The full-service landscaping company has been offering landscape design and low maintenance landscaping services in Colorado’s Winter Park, Fraser, Grand Lake and Granby areas since 2003.
