Cub Cadet unveiled a new hydro walk-behind mower and blade system at GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 18-20.
In addition to the new Pro HW Hydro walk-behind mower and the Fast Attach Blade system, the company showcased its Pro Z Series, which debuted at GIE+EXPO last year.
“We design all elements of our commercial line with the professional in mind,” said Dave Mullen, vice president of product marketing for Cub Cadet. “We then put these products through rigorous testing with professionals, so they can tell us how we can improve. The result is a rugged, quality, dependable lineup that exceeds expectations of the pros who rely on the performance of these products every day.”
Pro HW Hydro Walk-behind mower
Available in 36-, 48- and 54-inch cutting widths, the Pro HW Hydro Walk-behind mower features a fixed floating 10-gauge deck design with 7-gauge steel top and bottom reinforcements. Its Easy-Trac steering technology is designed to provide smooth steering and stability on slopes.
The mower is also designed to be rugged, the company said, with thick steel yokes, beams and control centers. Plus, higher clearance and weight balance add maneuverability over curbs.
FastAttach blade technology
The FastAttach blade technology is designed to let users change blades with no tools in just minutes, the company said. FastAttach also features Secure-Lok technology, which ensures the blades stay securely in position until the next blade change.
The FastAttach blade system is available on select 2018 Cub Cadet models. Although these units come standard with FastAttach High-lift bagging blades, Cub Cadet also offers additional FastAttach blade options. The FastAttach Xtreme Mulching blade recycles grass into finer clippings, whereas the FastAttach Sand blade lasts up to three times longer than standard high-lift blades in sandy conditions.
