Davey Institute promotes three

The Davey Tree Expert Co. promoted Scott Maco, Anand Persad, Ph.D., and Mike Binkley within the Davey Institute.

Scott Maco

Maco has been promoted to director of research and development. Maco’s nine years of experience with Davey have resulted in expansion, collaboration and research partnerships. Now, he leads development of the i-Tree Tools software suite.

Anand Persad

Persad has been promoted to manager of plant sciences research. Persad has been with the Davey Tree Expert Co. for more than 11 years. He serves as technical representative for Davey as well as leads Davey’s arboriculture research of biomechanics and invasive exotic pests.

Mike Binkley

Binkley has been promoted to the Davey Institute’s manager of technology development. Binkley started with the company in 1997 as a member of the Davey Resource Group where he became Supervisor of GIS services.

“Our goal is to deliver innovative industry leadership and enhance the Davey brand through research, extension and outreach,” said Vice President and General Manager of the Davey Institute Greg Ina. “These three have, and will, continue to play an integral role in reaching these goals.”
