Douglas Dynamics unveiled the dates for this year’s “The Power of Salt Brine” training tour.

The tour, scheduled from Aug. 8 through Sept. 28, is a national educational effort designed to give contractors a face-to-face opportunity to learn best practices for using liquids as part of their snow and ice management plan.

Training sessions will be led by Daniel Gilliland, training manager for SnowEx Liquid Solutions in North America, and Pam Buckley, sustainability manager for Douglas Dynamics.

Gilliland has been a Certified Snow Professional since 2003, and served as president of the Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) in 2011. He has more than 25 years experience in commercial snow and ice control, once owning snow contracting firm SnowFighters US and was the founder of CrewTracker Software.

As sustainability manager for Douglas Dynamics, Buckley develops market strategies and training components for the company’s liquid products lineup. She designed the SnowEx online liquid training program, has published articles related to liquids/sustainability and been invited to speak at both the 2017 SIMA Symposium and American Public Works Association Snow Show.
