Earthquake intros 5-ton electric log splitter
Earthquake introduced a new 5-ton electric log splitter.
The unit is equipped with two side catch trays, which can catch and hold split logs. The stand positions the splitter at waist height, offering comfort and safety for the operator, according to the company.
The handle and two wheels are compact and make the unit easy to move and store, according to the company. The log splitter is engineered with gears and copper windings that supply strength, conductivity, stability and heat resistance during sustained use. The 2-hp electric motor provides quiet power and 5 tons of splitting force. The 5-inch splitting wedge can work through midsize logs up to 20 inches long.
Each machine comes with a five-year warranty, and customer service professionals are based in Cumberland, Wis. Owners can also contact one of Earthquake’s 2,200 authorized service centers across the U.S.
Earthquake presented the splitter as part of its full line of outdoor power equipment at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas May 7. The company also recently reintroduced its Victory Rear Tine Tiller.
