Echo expanded its X-Series line with the addition of two new products: the BRD-2620 bed redefiner and PPF-2620 power pruner.

“As we continue to add to the Echo X Series, professional users will see that any product in this family is optimal for any job that comes their way,” said Wayne Thomsen, vice president of marketing.

Both products will be moving into the dealer network soon, according to Echo.

Designed to redefine flower or mulch beds, the BRD-2620 will replace the BRD-280 as a lighter, more powerful unit. It’s seven times faster than using a shovel and is lighter in weight than walk-behind bed redefining units, according to Echo. The product’s six-finger cutting steel claw uses carbide-tipped steel.

Key features of the BRD-2620 include a two-ring piston, improved hot restartability and a two-stage air filter. The air filtration system has a foam prefilter, along with a pleated filter enclosed by a tool-less cover.

The 96-inch fixed-length PPF 2620 power pruner features a 25.4cc engine and provides increased power and torque over the PPF-280.

Features include a see-though oil tank with a large opening for easy filling, a rubber engine mount for reduced vibrations and a rubber grip and rubber sleeve for operator comfort. Additionally, the machine’s main pipe is made of steel.
