FX Luminaire adds new EX transformer, RC fixture
FX Luminaire added the EX transformer, a low-wattage power and control option designed for small-scale lighting projects.
“The EX transformer combines the high quality of FX Luminaire products with the convenience of a lower price option,” said James Cervantes, product manager. “Customers asked, and we delivered.”
The transformer’s compact size fits comfortably in tight spaces, while its powder-coated finish allows end users to easily paint the enclosure for seamless integration into any setting, according to the company.
The terminal blocks are angled at 45 degrees for easy field installation, and the transformer is compatible with most plug-in astronomical timer products and EX photocell accessories.
The transformer completes FX Luminaire’s high-quality economy lighting package, which also includes the RS LED up light and the SPA LED path light, preinstalled with the G4 LED replacement lamp, said the company.
FX Luminaire also unveiled its new RC recessed fixture, a cylindrical, top-mounted down light, designed to enhance architectural features such as stonework, brick and siding, according to the company.
“The RC gives designers an elegant solution to provide task lighting from above,” said Ryan Williams, senior marketing manager for FX Luminaire. “The fixture also expands lighting coverage to adjacent areas.”
The compact-design fixture—which is easy to service and safe to install—features minimal styling and can be placed in the soffit of an arch, balcony or eave. It provides a clean downward illumination to expand a space and increase safety for pedestrians, said FX Luminaire.
The die-cast aluminum fixture boasts two-layer, marine-grade corrosion resistance, is fully code compliant, offers various outputs and correlated color temperatures and can be configured for line- and low-voltage applications.
As a member of FX Luminaire’s Designer Plus category, the fixture comes in one, three, six or nine LED configurations, with a version available that’s compatible with FX Luminaire’s Luxor technology to offer zoning, dimming and color control capabilities.
