Greenworks Commercial expanded its 82-volt line with the GBB 700 dual battery port backpack blower.

“For 2018, we’ve put a focus on providing innovative battery management solutions to increase the amount of productivity users can get on the job site,” said Chris Allen, president of Greenworks North America. “The new dual battery port backpack blower provides users with optimal performance to get tough jobs completed in a forward-thinking, green way, with double the runtime of previous models.”

Powered by brushless motor technology, the blower is equipped with two battery ports that come standard with automatic battery switch over, which allows the blower to automatically switch from one battery to the next once the first battery is depleted.

The unit includes a power station feature, enabling the blower to be transformed into a mobile power source capable of plugging in and powering any of the other 82-volt hand-held equipment.

The blower yields 50 percent less noise and five times less vibration than gas equivalent products, according to Greenworks.

It also features a variable speed trigger, cruise control lever and turbo button, and includes an axial fan design that allows the machine to reach speeds up to 165 mph at the push of a button.

The blower will be available through the Carswell and Steven Willand independent dealer networks and SiteOne beginning April 15.
