Grow with Grunder: Find time to continue learning

“Good morning, good afternoon, good evening whatever the case may be — this is Marty Grunder for Landscape Management magazine.
Hey, it’s back to school folks — dropped off my youngest child, Grant, at Miami University to start college. He’s enjoying it so far, we hope he stays out of trouble. You parents know how that goes. There’s a lot of learning experiences going on right now everywhere. Your children are probably back to school.
I’m always in learning mode; whether it’s reading Landscape Management magazine, it’s on a blog, it’s going to a seminar, going to a facility tour, whatever it is. If it’s reading a book, this is the most recent book that I’m reading it’s called ‘The Challenge Culture‘ by Nigel Travis, it talks about his successes at Dunkin Donuts.
Whatever you’re doing, folks, find some time to learn. Whether you want to come to one of our field trips here at Grunder Landscaping Company, maybe you’re going to sign up to attend Grow! in Charlotte in February or you’re going to go your own way — find some way to get better.
The way that you get better is to take some time away from the office and spend some time reading, learning, discovering new things, finding new and better ways to do things.
Have a great day.”
