Hunter updates irrigation management platform

May 15, 2019 -  By

Hunter Industries recently updated its Hydrawise irrigation management platform so contractors can set up irrigation schedules exactly how they like: by program or zone.

“With this update, we’re the only manufacturer to offer two distinct ways for contractors to create irrigation schedules on Wi-Fi-enabled controllers,” said Anthony Long, product manager. “Our customers asked, and we delivered.”

If contractors like to create schedules by zone, they can keep their management style. But contractors who are more accustomed to standard dial-based configuration will no longer need to customize zones or learn a new way to set up irrigation to become Hydrawise users.

With six programs and six start times per program, Hydrawise is a powerful, efficient and complete tool for irrigation management in the industry. Contractors simply choose which management style they want the next time they set up a controller. A wizard will help guide them through the process.

Hunter also recently released seven new features and improvements to help contractors simplify irrigation management:

  1. Easy-to-use menu divided into three sections: controllers, my account and multisite manager;
  2. New remote management functions that provide four options for manual watering;
  3. Ability to send messages to customers directly through the Hydrawise app;
  4. Ability to customize the Hydrawise app by adding photos to their account;
  5. Improved user interface and increased scrollability;
  6. New and improved help button; and
  7. Extra tools for contractors, including the ability to create a new customer directly from the multisite manager menu, custom-brand the Hydrawise app with a logo so customers can quickly find their contact details and more.
