Irrigation Association seeks Smart Irrigation Month promos

The Irrigation Association (IA) is asking companies that promoted Smart Irrigation Month throughout July to enter its Smart Marketing Contest.

Companies of all sizes and from across the full industry spectrum—from agriculture dealers to landscape irrigation contractors—that supported this year’s initiative are encouraged to enter. Campaigns ranged from in-store specials and sales to contests and educational activities, according to the IA.

All contest participants will be recognized at the Smart Irrigation Month Idea Gallery at this year’s Irrigation Show, on the IA and Smart Irrigation Month websites and in the Irrigation Show Guide that is distributed on-site to all attendees and exhibitors.

A neutral panel of judges will select the Smart Marketing Contest winners based on messaging, quality, creativity and implementation of Smart Irrigation Month messaging. The 2013 judging panel includes industry professionals representing the landscape and agricultural irrigation sectors as well as representatives from several media outlets.

This year’s winners will be recognized at the General Session of the Irrigation Show; showcased at the show’s Smart Irrigation Month Idea Gallery and briefing; highlighted on the IA and Smart Irrigation Month websites; featured in an article in IA Times, IA’s monthly e-newsletter and profiled in free publicity to industry media.
