IrriGreen introduces new irrigation system

|

IrriGreen released the IrriGreen Genius Irrigation System, which uses up to 50 percent less water than ordinary systems, the company said.

The system is designed to control its sprinklers to match water patterns to the shape of any lawn. According to the company, the IrriGreen requires the installation and maintenance of up to 80 percent fewer sprinkler heads and up to 85 percent less underground pipe.

While the Genius Server monitors and adjusts stream volume, direction and distance, the Genius Sprinkler conserves water by avoiding over spraying and overlapping sprays. The sprinkler also features a digital valve-in-head and a pop-up rotor with a low-flow, 14-stream, multi-trajectory nozzle and maintains water distribution at distances from zero to 35 feet within each zone.

“The IrriGreen Genius Irrigation System applies digital technology to control the actual direction and distance of the sprays from each Genius Sprinkler,” said Gary Klinefelter, founder and CEO of IrriGreen. “Inkjet printers do not shoot ink unevenly and haphazardly all over a page. They spray the right amount of ink in controlled patterns. We adapted digital technology and our patent-pending nozzle design from the high-tech, commercial printing industry. IrriGreen ‘prints’ precise patterns of water on a lawn.”
