KAS finalizes acquisition of Agrium’s T&O assets

(KAS), an affiliate of Koch Fertilizer, finalized its acquisition of the turf and ornamental (T&O) assets, brands and product technologies of Agrium Advanced Technologies, a former business unit of Agrium. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed by KAS.

The acquired T&O business provides nutrient solutions for the horticulture, turfgrass, consumer lawn and garden and specialty agriculture segments.

Included in the transaction are production facilities in Sylacauga, Ala., and global intellectual property rights related to Polyon, Duration, XCU, Nutralene and Nitroform brands of slow-release and controlled-release fertilizers.

KAS’ existing T&O products include Umaxx and Uflexx stabilized nitrogen fertilizers, and Hydrexx nitrogen stabilizer.
