The engine division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. promoted Timothy Malinowski to director of national OEM sales and product development.

Malinowski, who joined Kawasaki in 1998 and has held several sales positions at the company, most recently held the title of senior sales manager-OEM sales.

The new position will entail greater management responsibility over the OEM sales team at the engine division. Malinowski will broaden the scope of his oversight to include the functions of government relations and product development. The managers of each of these departments will now report to Malinowski.

Charged with maintenance and growth of Kawasaki’s OEM business, he will continue his close association with the numerous brands working with the company, and will develop and implement strategies toward the acquisition of new business in sectors identified for future expansion. Malinowski also will assume primary liaison responsibilities with Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. during the product development stages.

“I’ve been fortunate to have many opportunities and challenges during my time at Kawasaki,” Malinowski said. “This new position offers me a chance to continue the relationships I’ve built, both internally and with the OEM community, while at the same time reaching out to help the company continue its phenomenal growth curve.”

Malinowski received a B.A. from Michigan State University and a Master’s of Management from Aquinas College.
