Kubota unveils 21-inch, W series mowers

Kubota Tractor unveiled two new commercial mowers—Z700 family of zero-turns and a new 21-inch commercial walk-behind mower—at GIE+Expo in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 18-20. The mowers will be available at Kubota dealerships in December.

“We are particularly excited to be introducing the new Z700 models; I have no doubt that landscape professionals will rejoice when they experience the new premium adjustable suspension seat,” said Tom Vachal, Kubota senior turf product manager. “Adding the 21-inch commercial walk behind mower to our popular W Series family of walk-behind mowers ultimately provides turf professionals with more options and versatility under the Kubota brand they have come to trust.”

The Z700 Series gets its speed and torque from its Parker TorqPact HTG 14 transmissions. Better overall efficiency means more horsepower to the deck and less heat into the oil which translates to a fast, high-quality cut, the company said.

Other than performance, the Z700 Series was designed for comfort, the company said. With the premium suspension seat, operators can customize their ride with the weight adjustment knob.

An addition to the W Series commercial mower line, the new 21-inch commercial mower is designed to combine cutting and bagging performance with durability, the company said.

The machine comes with a blade brake clutch in the WGC6-21 model and a zone start option in the WG6-21 model. Under a three-speed transmission, the cast aluminum decks with steel edge guards are stocked with cast aluminum wheels with dual ball bearings and replaceable wide rubber tires.

With the introduction of this new deck size, Kubota’s W Series now includes 21-inch, 36-inch, 48-inch and 52-inch deck options.
