LandOpt recognizes top performers at annual meeting

|
During the annual meeting, LandOpt presented Belknap Landscape Co. with the President’s Award.

LandOpt contractors met for the annual Principals Meeting and Success Celebration Feb. 27-March 1 in Daytona Beach, Fla.

This gathering is held each year to recognize the top performers in the LandOpt Network, and to discuss overarching commitments such as growth, continued success, strategic training, education and coaching.

Five awards are presented during the event: The Contractor of the Year, Rookie Contractor of the Year, Sales Professional of the Year, Rookie Sales Professional of the Year and the President’s Award.

Contractor and rookie contractor awards are judged on performance against plan, transformation, maintenance base growth and training attendance. The individual awards are based on criteria such as performance against plan for long-term, short-term and project sales, and meetings and proposals booked in the CRM system. LandOpt’s prestigious President’s Award recognizes the company that has shown the most significant growth internally and within the LandOpt Network.

The winners of this year’s awards are:

The Contractor of the Year award went to The Greathouse Co.

Serving greater Nashville, Tenn., the Greathouse is run by Lee Greathouse and his son Will, who have a combined 48 years of experience in the horticulture industry, and have worked together on the installation and management of countless residential and commercial landscape projects of all sizes. The company saw 303 percent recurring sales vs. plan and $1.4 million maintenance base.

“We have trusted the process over the last 4 years of being in the LandOpt Network. Our team buy-in to the system has been key to the process,” Will Greathouse said. “We have pushed the processes and systems when recruiting and have built a team that believes in what we are trying to create.”

The Rookie Contractor of the Year award went to Pickel Landscape Group.

Located in Landenberg, Pa., the full-service landscape company designs and maintains outdoor spaces for the residents of southern Chester County, Pa., and northern Delaware.

The Sales Professional of the Year award went to Will Hickman of Carolina Creations in Shallotte, N.C.

“I’m honored beyond belief, honestly. I’ve been with Carolina Creations and a part of LandOpt for over 9 years now, and I’ve been very fortunate to be in an office and a network with some amazing sales reps in that timeframe,” said Hickman.

The Rookie Sales Professional of the Year award went to Newton Emerson from Mountainview Landscapes & Lawncare of Chicopee, Mass.

The President’s Award went to Belknap Landscape Co. from Gilford, N.H.

Belknap is a family-owned business located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Established in 1988 when owner Hayden McLaughlin purchased the original Belknap Nursery in Gilford, the company has evolved over the past 20 years into a full-service design, construction and grounds management company of land care professionals specializing in residential waterfront properties and commercial accounts.

“We have been continuously refining our internal processes to become more efficient with our systems and delivering consistent services to our clients,” said McLaughlin. “This (award) means very much to me and my staff. Belknap could not have achieved this, without the strong staff that we have here. I stand proud beside all of them.”
