According to Marisa Palmieri, editor in chief of Landscape Management Magazine, it’s not as hard as you think it might be to get free advertising in magazines and newspapers.

Every single day, magazine and newspaper editors are on the prowl for the newest, latest and greatest to create unique content. So why shouldn’t they write about you or one of your projects? While other companies are spending “ad” dollars like crazy, you can have a feature article written about you, your business or latest landscaping project for all of your customers and competitors to see.

Palmieri gives you the inside scoop about what editors are looking for to help you get your company featured in the local newspaper, regional lifestyle magazine or industry trade journal.

An experienced Green Industry editor, Palmieri has won many awards for her coverage of the landscape and golf course markets from the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association (TOCA), the Press Club of Cleveland and the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). In 2007, ASBPE named her a Young Leader.

Palmieri is a wife, a mother of two girls and a proud Clevelander. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, cum laude, from Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism.
