Landscape Management Editor-in-Chief Seth Jones is forced to shelter-in-place and his travel schedule has been shut down, but that won’t stop him from interviewing people in the industry.

In the first episode of Landscape Management: At Home Edition, Seth visits with … Mike DePriest, GM/Owner, Longs Peak Landscape, Longmont, Colo., on how his customer base is reacting to the pandemic; how his company is working safely; and how his employees have found some silver linings during this unusual time.

Next (@ 9:03), Seth talks with Zech Strauser, president, Strauser Nature’s Helpers, Stroudsburg, Pa., about his decision to close his company for two weeks in late March; how his company has changed the way crews arrive at the job site and the structure of their crews; and the difficulty of being a leader in these confusing times.

To round out this first episode (@ 21:39), Seth conferences in Casey Hurd, manager member, Greenscapes LandCare, Worton, Md., on how his company is adapting and pushing forward during the pandemic; on the additional training necessary for his crew as they’ve adjusted to working while trying to stay safe from COVID-19; and how thankfully, many customers are calling the company during the stay-at-home orders.
