The Alamo Group appointed Matt Hood to VP of sales and marketing of Henke Manufacturing in Leavenworth, Kan.

The appointment marks Hood’s return to the company, which, in 1993, he worked at as its first regional sales manager. In 2001, he moved to the position of co-owner and, in 2007, he and two other co-owners sold Henke to the Alamo Group. Hood left Henke in 2008 to move into an equity position with another manufacturing company as its president and CEO.

“I’m very excited to be back,” he said. “While it’s good to have direct and relevant experience in the snow and ice removal industry, it’s even better to have that experience with Henke.”

Doug Metcalf, Henke president added: “Hood’s experience in creating successful sales teams and growing distribution channels is exactly what we need. We are thrilled to have Matt back with our team and look forward to the energy and leadership he brings to the table.”

Hood has an MBA from University of Missouri-Kansas City.
