DR Power Equipment, a subsidiary of Generac Holdings, a manufacturer of professional-grade, outdoor power equipment including a line of gas and battery-powered products, closed a purchase agreement to acquire the assets of Mean Green Products, an electric lawn mower manufacturer.

“The opportunity presented to further develop and grow our vision to provide consumers with battery-powered equipment made us extremely confident that the DR Power and Generac teams were an excellent fit for our company and employees,” said Joe Conrad, president and owner of Mean Green Products.

Mean Green Products developed and manufactures a commercial line of zero-turn, all-electric lawn mowers. The patent designs and technology bring an innovative product to the zero-turn market, allowing customers access to a quieter, zero-emissions producing and minimal maintenance option. Mean Green mowers have the capacity to efficiently run for a full day of commercial mowing.

“The organizational initiative centered around providing clean-powered products accelerated our interest in becoming part of its strategic movement,” said Matt Conrad, vice president and owner, about the sale to DR Power Equipment.

Mean Green Products is headquartered in Ross, Ohio, and was founded in 2009. DR Power Equipment, a Generac Power Systems company, was founded in 1985 in Charlotte, Vt.
