Columbus, Ohio-based M&I Landscapes acquired LandOpt license rights for its territory on the northeast side of the city, becoming the fourth Powered by LandOpt Contractor in the state and the second in the Central Ohio region.

A full-service landscape company, M&I Landscapes specializes in residential and commercial design/build, maintenance and lawn care. Principal Phil Drake purchased the company last year and engaged LandOpt because, despite his degree and background in horticulture, he identified a need for assistance on defining and implementing business practices.

Drake said he particularly is looking forward to interacting with contractors in the LandOpt Network and developing a peer network.

“To have a group of like-minded individuals who are ultra-willing to share stories, resources and best practices is invaluable,” he said. “The fact that three of those companies are within the same state boundaries is especially appealing, and I look forward to forming a close relationship with Pro Edge Lawn Care (Holland), ProScape Lawn & Landscape Services (Marion) and American Beauty Landscaping (Youngstown) in order to increase the reach of the LandOpt brand in Ohio.”
