PBI/Gordon’s Avenue South herbicide has the power to control control more than 90 listed broadleaf weeds in the South, says the company.

PBI/Gordon will introduce its new Avenue South broadleaf herbicide for turfgrass at the 2015 GIE+EXPO.

According to the company, the herbicide combines four proven active ingredients to deliver rapid control of more than 90 listed broadleaf weeds in the South’s warm weather and southern grasses, including the Floratam and Bitterblue grasses in St. Augustine, Fla.

“There are more beautiful lawns and golf courses than ever in the South, thanks to improved turfgrass varieties, but they can be sensitive, especially when you need fast weed knock-down,” said Dave Loecke, herbicide product manager for PBI/Gordon. “New Avenue South gives turf pros in the South a powerful tool to kill tough broadleaf weeds fast, in a formulation that offers a high degree of turf safety. And the excitement of GIE+EXPO makes it the perfect event for PBI/Gordon to introduce Avenue South to the industry.”
