People on the Move: Davey adds business developer, Spring-Green hires director of business development and more

Geeta Singh-Knight, CEO of Esterline Landscape

Esterline Landscapebased in Central Florida, named Geeta Singh-Knight CEO of the company. She replaces Dan Esterline, who has served as CEO since 2006. Singh-Knight has 25 years of experience, previously serving as CFO, COO and CEO at Clico Life and General Insurance Co. in Georgetown, Guyana. She also served as chief accountant at Beka Casting in Ontario, Canada. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

The Davey Tree Expert Co. appointed Bonnie Marshall to regional business developer for the south Florida region. Marshall previously served as vice president of ornamental sales for Speedling, a national ornamental and vegetable plug producer, and secretary and treasurer of family-owned Marshall Tree Farm, a 450-acre nursery in north-central Florida. Marshall, who also is president of the Florida chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida and is a graduate of the Wedgworth Leadership Institute for Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Florida.

Spring-Green Lawn Care hired Brad Saunders as director of business development. Over the past 25 years, Saunders has owned a franchise business, a specialty tool repair business and a daycare facility. He’s also served as a small business advisor and as president of Potosi Brewing Co, a small craft brewing company in Wisconsin. He’s a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

The Fockele Garden Co. in Atlanta hired Joy Giusto as a landscape designer. Giusto has 18 years of landscape design experience, specializing in residential designs, woodland gardens, container gardens, landscape design of small spaces and water features. She also holds a degree in landscape design from George Washington University and a degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.

Unique Lighting Systems hired Tim McKay as district sales manager for the Midwest, including Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Southern Illinois and Southern Iowa. With 24 years of experience in the landscape lighting industry, McKay previously worked for Vista Lighting and Nightscaping.

The National Hispanic Landscape Alliance elected Rafael Gonzalez Arnau of GALA Services in Escondido, Calif., and Wilmer Ventura of Yellowstone Landscape in Atlanta to its board of directors. Jose Arroyo of Jose’s Landscaping in Lyman, S.C.; Dominic Chiarella of 7 of 7 Best Business & Life Strategies in Southbury, Conn.; and Ivan Giraldo of Clean Scapes Landscaping in Austin, Texas, were elected to a second two-year term.
