Envu adds U.S. head of turf and ornamentals business

Envu named John Price as head of U.S. turf and ornamentals. Price joined Envu from SBM Life Science, where he served as the North American head of marketing and innovation.

Price has served in leadership roles for several companies including The Hershey Company, ScottsMiracle-Gro, Barbasol and SBM Life Science. He has extensive experience leading teams in sales, marketing and innovation. A St. Louis, Mo., native, he earned his bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Graze adds to executive team

Graze, a developer of autonomous commercial lawn mowers, appointed Ellen Bruno as chief of staff and Eddie Shaw as chief technology officer.

As chief of staff, Bruno will oversee the company’s staff and day-to-day operations. She previously served in a similar role with Robin Autopilot. She joined Fahey Group in 2017 where she helped launch and manage several of its ventures, including Robin Autopilot. Bruno has more than 25 years of experience in multiple industries, including professional services, retail management and administration.

As Chief Technology Officer, Shaw will oversee the company’s technology strategy, research and development and day-to-day technology needs. He was previously vice president of software engineering at Robin Autopilot. He also served as a software engineer for Kalkomey Enterprises and as a software developer for NCR Corporation. Shaw has more than 30 years of software engineering experience in a wide variety of business applications, including web applications, backend automation solutions and full-featured client/server applications.

HydroPoint appoints regional sales managers

HydroPoint Data Systems added Dennis Mueller as regional sales manager for the greater Arizona area and Brad Meyer as regional sales manager for the Rocky Mountain region.

Muller will be responsible for key customer and distributor accounts within his region. Prior to joining HydroPoint, he held sales manager roles at Canature WaterGroup, The U.S. Water Culligan Group, Rain Bird Corp., and Omni Consumer Products.

Meyer will also be responsible for key regional customer and distributor accounts. Prior to joining HydroPoint, he led business development and strategic account management for DBC Irrigation Supply.

Sean Okada appointed as Makita president and CEO

Makita appointed Sean Okada as its new president and CEO.

Okada comes to the U.S. after seven years as president of Makita Australia. He also held leadership positions at Makita United Kingdom and Makita Gulf in Dubai. As the new president Okada will drive the company’s strategic initiatives, foster innovation and expand market presence while upholding Makita’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

“His extensive experience and strategic approach to business make him the ideal leader to take the company into its next chapter of growth and innovation,” said Rich Chapman, senior executive vice president of sales, Makita.

Amguard adds account manager and technical solutions manager

Amguard Environmental Technologies, the specialty markets division of AMVAC Chemical Corporation, recently added two members to its U.S. commercial turf and landscape team.

Linda Satter joined the company as a key account manager. In this role, she will manage strategic key accounts in the turf and landscape markets. Satter previously worked for Sipcam Agro, where she served as an account manager in turf and ornamental, working with distribution and formulation partners.

Prior to that, Satter worked for Corteva Agroscience for nearly 30 years in various roles, including key account manager, programs manager, customer service manager and territory manager. Satter holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Indianapolis and serves on the board of Project Evergreen.

Amguard promoted Larry Lennert to U.S. turf and landscape technical solutions manager. Lennert will provide technical and sales support to turf and landscape customers and Amguard regional sales managers in this new role. Additionally, he will assist with market potential evaluations and new product development. Lennert will also continue to manage and grow sales in the Midwest region by expanding relationships with key industry influencers and groups, distributor sales reps and end users.

Fleetio appoints chief revenue officer

Fleetio, a leading fleet maintenance software provider, appointed Tyson Goeltz to the company’s executive leadership team as its first chief revenue officer. Goeltz will lead all aspects of Fleetio’s sales and business development.

Goeltz comes to Fleetio with more than two decades of professional sales experience, most recently serving as chief revenue officer for Reprise. Previously, he served as senior vice president of global sales at A Cloud Guru as well as multiple pre-IPO sales leadership roles during a long tenure at LinkedIn.

“Fleet maintenance management is a critical function within the global economy, and Fleetio has over a decade of success in helping companies track, analyze and improve fleet operations,” said Goeltz. “It is exciting to join a company with a strong dedication to creating value for small business owners all the way up to large global operators.”

Pantano Outdoor Supply adds general manager

Pantano Outdoor Supply added Paul Lott to its team as general manager and head of the company’s Middletown, Del., campus. Lott brings an extensive background in the hardscape industry. Throughout his more than 20-year career he served in various professional and management positions in the field, including but not limited to the business development and outside sales representative for Woodbury Cement Products, general manager and outside sales for L&L Masonry Supply, area sales manager of Boral and also an architectural representative for Boral. In addition to his career success, Lott has a strong background in technically-focused design and details.
