PLANET dubs 9 new Trailblazers
The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) named nine new Trailblazers, two for their excellence in design/build installation and seven for their achievements in landscape management.
The new trailblazers, nominated by peers for their contributions to the Green Industry, include:
- Darin Brockelbank, Metro GreenScape, Charlotte, N.C. (design/build installation);
- Joel Hafner, Fine Earth Landscape, Poolesville, Md. (design/build installation);
- Bill Arman, The Harvest Group, Dana Point, Calif. (landscape management);
- Steve Hill, Turftenders Landscape Services, Raleigh, N.C. (landscape management);
- David Hupman, The Brickman Group—Central Region, Mason, Ohio (landscape management);

- Mike Mason, The Lawn Pro, Louisville, Ky. (landscape management);
- Jerry Schill, Schill Grounds Management, North Ridgeville, Ohio (landscape management); and

Each Trailblazer sets aside one day per year to provide on-site mentoring to a PLANET member. The colleague-to-colleague mentoring and networking program is a method for emerging and established companies to gain insight and advice on how to develop and grow their businesses. Trailblazers also participate in the Trailblazers on Call program that provides members with quick answers to their business questions.
These new Trailblazers will be recognized during PLANET’s Green Industry Conference, Oct. 22–24 in Louisville, Ky.
