Rotary Corp. joined the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA) as a supporting member.

“Rotary recognizes the growing impact of Hispanic Americans in the landscape industry and supports the efforts of NHLA to encourage high standards of professionalism and leadership within their ranks,” said Ed Nelson, president and CEO of Rotary.

He went on to point out there’s an estimated half million plus Hispanic families in the U.S. that live on incomes from landscaping careers. The Rotary’s impetus for supporting the NHLA, Nelson said, is to advance NHLA’s mission to education customers, public officials and others about the role of Hispanic Americans in the Green Industry.

“Rotary’s story of growth, as a company that was founded in a garage and now serves more than 50 states and 63 countries while remaining family-owned and operated, is a prime example of the American dream realized that truly resonates with Hispanics across the country,” said Ralph Egües, NHLA executive director. “With Rotary’s support, we look forward to doing even more to facilitate the growth of Hispanics in the landscape industry.”

Rotary joins other NHLA supporting members, which include Briggs & Stratton, Caterpillar, Cub Cadet, Honda Power Equipment, John Deere and Kohler Engines.
