Ruppert Landscape promotes 3 in Virginia branch

Ruppert-Landscape_140x62Ruppert Landscape’s landscape construction branch in Virginia hired Mike Ryan and promoted Angela Howes, Kelly McGuire and April Rose.

Ryan, a resident of Haymarket, Va., joins Ruppert Landscape as a production manager, bringing more than 17 years of industry experience to the company. As production manager, he will be responsible for all aspects of the installation of traditional landscape projects, including supervising field personnel, managing subcontractors, overseeing projects, communicating to customers and maintaining quality standards. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture from Virginia Tech.

Howes was promoted from business developer to operations manager, where she’s responsible for all field operations, personnel, vehicles and equipment, safety, subcontracts, direct cost accounts and select overhead expenses. Howes has been with Ruppert Landscape for more than 11 years, during which time she won the Branch Impact Award in the Maryland landscape construction branch in 2009.

McGuire was promoted to business developer. She started at Ruppert Landscape two years ago as a branch administrator and was promoted to purchaser in 2014. As business developer, McGuire will be responsible for understanding and identifying opportunities in the market, local networking and relationship building with targeted potential customers, involvement in trade organizations and maintaining long-term client relationships. She recently won the 2014 Branch Impact Award in the Virginia landscape construction branch.

Rose, who has been with Ruppert Landscape for seven years, was promoted from chief estimator to project manager. As project manager, she will be responsible for all aspects of the administration and installation of large or specialty landscape projects in the Virginia area. Rose also won the Branch Impact Award in the Virginia landscape construction branch in 2009 and 2011. She graduated from State University of New York at Cobleskill with a degree in landscape contracting.
