SIMA Symposium rescheduled for August
The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) has postponed the annual Snow & Ice Symposium to Aug. 25-28.
The SIMA board of directors made the decision to move the 23rd annual event, originally scheduled for June. The event will be held at the Hartford Connecticut Convention Center.
“This was a difficult but prudent decision,” said Laura Ingram, chair of SIMA board of directors. “It allows us time to see how COVID-19 plays out and create a safe and refreshing experience for our members and attendees.”
Last year, the show attracted more than 2,300 attendees.
“There is no replacement for the networking and personal relationships that are built at the annual Symposium, and we need those now more than ever — we’ll just have to wait a little longer to come together,” said SIMA CEO Martin Tirado, CAE. “We are hopeful that snow professionals across the United States and Canada will make plans to connect, learn and keep moving our industry forward on our new dates in August.”
