“The integration is well on its way,” Scott Reasons, head of Turf & Landscape North America for Syngenta told Landscape Management. “We already have customer orders coming into Greensboro, so we’re excited about that.”

Reasons said it’s an opportunity for Syngenta, which has been known for its portfolio of plant growth regulators and fungicides, to “expand our leadership position in turf.”

Additionally, he said Syngenta will explore ways it can grow the use of the products, potentially to tree care applications, in ornamental horticulture and to the consumer market.

“We’re excited about the level of investment Syngenta can give these actives to broaden their use for customers,” Reasons said.

An undisclosed number of DuPont Professional Products employees have joined Syngenta. Reasons said it’s a “small group,” including many technical and sales staff members, mostly in pest control but also in turf.
