The U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Ohio reports Doug Evans, owner of Evans Landscaping in Newtown, Ohio, was sentenced to 21 months in prison and fined $25,000 for wire fraud. Texas landscape company must pay $400K in workers’ comp fraud case

A Pflugerville, Texas-based landscape company pleaded guilty to misrepresenting its payroll so it could pay less for workers’ compensation coverage, according to an article from workerscompensation.com.
